Select Subject preview different from actual selection

When I use the select subject tool, the preview looks good and like what I want, but when I actually click and it makes the selection, the selection isn't the same, and it is worse at recognizing the subject. Obviously it can successfully find the subject, because the preview looks good, so I don't know why the actual selection is so bad. The image with the pink overlay is the preview when I hover the mouse over the figure, and the second image shows what was selected after I click.

App version: 24.3 (but it happened in previous versions too)

Windows 10 Home Version 22H2, 64-bit system, 16GB RAM

    Hi!

    We are sorry to hear you are having this issue!

    Can you give us a screenshot of your document window, with the image and the panels open that you are using? It is hard to tell what is going on withouth seeing what settings you have applied.
