Selected font failed during last operation. If the problem persists, please disable the font.

I've looked at every reference on this issue in Adobe and half of the internet. All week long between other bad voodoo problems. I've checke system access ACL's, I've back reved Photoshop, I've deleted "CT Font Cache", I've uninstalled with settings removal and reinstalled, and I removed every Photoshop settings profile in "Roaming/Adobe". I don't use "Suitcase Fusion".
I have tried using ariel and 20 other alternate fonts, but I can't even add a font to anything I create or open.
My brain is starting to crack! Somebody get me a doctor.
