Set location of *.tmp files to other than origin folder

Hi guys, 

those PSxyz.tmp files are constantly clogging my cloud uploads and produce errors when they're auto-deleted. Since I mostly work with large files (35000 px+) this is rather counterproductive.

Is there a way to tell PS to save those files in the scratch path, for example? 

This is not a PS problem per se, but...  it kind of is!
