Question

"set white point" turns image green???

I often shoot macro subjects on a white background. When editing the images in Photoshop I would adjust the color using the "set white point" eyedropper in Levels or Curves to ensure the background is pure white. About a week ago it stopped working. Now if I click the "set white point" the image has a green overlay. See attached screen grab (before and after). If I click Image/Autocolor the image turns pure green.

I have no idea what is going on,why this is happening or how to correct it. Any help would be much appreciated...

Can you provide the file with the Levels Layer?

Not green here.

Does turning off »Use Graphics Processor« in the Performance Preferences (Photoshop > Preferences > Performance > Graphic Processor Settings) and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?

Does turning on »Deactivate Native Canvas« (Photoshop > Preferences > Technology Previews) and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?
