Shapes broken when grouped together in 25.9.1 on Windows 11 x64

i'm running into an issue with shapes grouped together in Photoshop 25.9.1 on Windows 11. the shape on top will turn white, regardless of color, and wipe out the shape at the bottom. it will only fix itself when the shape on top is not visible.

i asked in the photoshop discord and someone else was able to reproduce the issue using the file i provided.

steps to reproduce:

put two shapes in a group and drag the top shape over the bottom.

expected results:
the shape on the bottom should not be corrupted.

attached is the file that i'm having issues in and a video of the issue happening.

Does turning off »Use Graphics Processor« in the Performance Preferences (Photoshop > Preferences > Performance > Graphic Processor Settings) and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?

it looks like it stops happening when Use Graphics Processor is disabled

Unfortunately this is no proper solution as it invalidates GPU dependent features (like the Rotate View Tool and some Filter acceleration for example) but it indicates problems with the GPU driver.

Hi @julie_powers  — Dragging shapes is working correctly for me (Release 25.9.1; Windows 10).  I'm wondering if your glitch is because of interference from other layers or layer groups in your document? If you try the same steps in a new document with only two shape layers in one group, does the bottom shape still become corrupted?

i made a new document with the same preset i used in the sample document (Web Large) and only two shapes, i didn't run into the issue then
