Shapes problems photoshop ver 24.6

Not sure what version this started in as I have updated several times without using shapes. I have a big library of shapes I purchased in past and now they have problems.

1. They come in with a outline which did not happen in past. Is there a setting that can fix this?

2. They also are becoming deformed. Once placed in photoshop they grow random spikes on all sides. I think this may be related to the outline that has appeared.

In past shapes did not come in with a outline I just got the shape as is.

Please help!

With the Custom Shape Tool selected, click on the color chip next to the word Stroke in the Photoshop Options bar. To turn this off altogether, click on the white icon with the diagonal red line.

As you suspect, the spikes are the result of the stroke.

Can you share screenshot what you experience?
You mean, brought a shape preset and it used to be applied well but now there is a separate outline for the shape? I don't quite understand.
It's good to record a capture or video and show it
