shift key not working when using xp pen tablet

Hi, not really sure if this is a photoshop issue or a tablet issue, but basically, when i use photoshop with my xp pen artist 15.6, the shift key doesn't work at all. it works on illustrator, and also works if i just click on the trackpad, rather than using the pen. Any help much appreciated, thanks.
