I have for years been using the short cut Command H to hide a selection I am workingon, repeat to return selection, this does not now work and instead hides the whole image hbow do I return this function please ?  Photoshop 2020 21.1.3

    Go to Keyboard Shorcuts. Choose shortcuts for application menus, Scroll down to View >Extras and set the shortcut to Cmd+H

    On the Mac there are two ways you can use Cmd H: to hide Photoshop or to hide selections etc.

      You are correct Marja, but if you choose the other option, to hide Photoshop,  you can reset it again using the keyboard shortcuts menu I described earlier
