since I can't install my copy of CS3...

I know why it doesn't work and that is because the verification servers for CS4 and below have been discontinued, and I can't install it even if I have the physical disc. this has been the answer I have found both by posting in the forum and searching the site for hours.

So my next question is: how the problem is going to be fixed? I paid for and own the physical disc, I shouldn't have to pay for photoshop again just to use the software I already paid for. I don't want to pay a monthly subscription and I don't want to buy the new software at a discount. I need to have it for work and have relied on it since like 2008. I am unemployed so I can't afford to buy it (which I shouldn't have to because I already paid for it). I'm on windows btw

also I had a scammer try to contact me and pretended to be adobe support after my last post

Initially after shutting down the activation servers for CS3, Adobe did for a limited time offer non activation versions of CS3 to existing CS3 users, however, it wasn't widely known unless one frequented Adobe forums or other related forums around the web. Unfortunately, for users such as yourself, that are just encountering this issue, the non activation versions were removed several years ago.

I'm just a forum volunteer, so i can only sympathize and offer advice and have little to no influence on Adobe corporate policy.

You can try calling Adobe Support and see if you can come to an amicable resolution.

You can continue using CS3 on the same computer and OS that you had it on as long as both continue to work. What you cannot do is activate it on a new computer. This is a user-to-user forum and all we can do is tell you this.

Only subscriptions are available today / there are NO deals - cheap or expensive - for a permanent license except for Acrobat.
