Size of 2024 installation v 2023

It appears that PS 2024 has installed at over twice the size of the Beta and also larger than PS2023.

 

Why?

 

Are there options to reduce this installed size?

    Apparently there's something random about how these sizes are reported:

     

    Are the user account files included? I don't have much there in terms of brushes, textures, gradients, etc.

      I just checked the actual Photoshop 2024 folder size and it's only 4.02 GB 🙄

        @KSNelson the install size for Photoshop version 24.7.1, 25.0 and beta version 25.1 are all similar sizes on my system and no, there's no way to reduce the install size

          On mine, they are PsBeta-4.6GB, Ps2023-3.6 GB, and Ps2024-9.2 GB.
