Hi!

I am trying to get oe shape in another file.

All is in 300 DPI, the original size is about 70 x 60 cm.

When i put it in another file, it is about half that size....

Any ideas?

Print size is determined by the size dimensions, not the PPI. Go to File>Image Size, turn off resample, then set the size it should print at. Trunning off resample will keep the file from scaling. In other words, it retains the same number of pixels.

An 8"x10" image at 300ppi will print at the same size as an 8" x 10" image at 72ppi, but the first one has more pixels and will look better in print.

    Does that make sense?

Image width is simply number of pixels  width/pixel per inch     if the two are the same they should print the same size.

Do both documents have the same dpi resolution?  Most likely they do not and what you are seeing is correct operation. If they have the  same dpi are you viewing both at the same zoom percentage?

    Hi,

That's what I thought, but both are in 300 DPI.

When I print it, the one is twice as small as the one it should be.

When I slide the smaller one to the larger one, it comes to the same size.

    So it automatically changes size...
