Slow Blur Tool

When trying to blur any point in a digital illustration, to smooth out some details, the blur tool has slow performance. The other tools work perfectly.

Is anyone experiencing the same problem?

Working with heavy files, this had never happened before. Was there an update?

Well I need to deliver some work for a client and I need this tool working perfectly until 05/04, since it facilitates my creation.

    Unfortunately I did not succeed with the above quotes. The problem still persists, I believe it is my Nvidia Quadro K2000 that is outdated and needs to be changed!

    Does turning off »Use Graphics Processor« in the Performance Preferences (Photoshop > Preferences > Performance > Graphic Processor Settings) and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?
