Double clicking on the smart object is not leading to the place of origin for editing (Example: to Illustrator), a box of Ïmporting PDF as in the attached image is showing up.

How can I change this action?

Hi Rodrigo,

Sounds like you are on CC2019, as there have been many problems with file associations. You need to fix the association for Illustrator CC 2019.

If you double click on an Illustrator file outside of Photoshop, does it open in Illustrator? You probably have to fix the application assignment in the Finder, or Explorer.
