Snap to grid problems.(yes, this is another one)

So, I have my grid shown, smart guides on and slices too, and my snap is snap to grid and guides, but none of the selection tool seems to be snapping to the grid... (I'm on Mac by the way.)

Some selection tools should snap to guide lines if snap to  guides is enabled. Other selection tool should snap to objects, subject or edges others selection tools are freeform. It should not matter if you use Microsoft or Apple OS selection tools should work the same way.  Which selection tools that should snap to guides are not snapping to them?
