Sonoma 14.0 MacOS & Photoshop 2024 25.0: Can't transform to Smart Object

I can't seem to convert to a Smart Object when running a simple action I created. It just freezes or doesn't do anything. The same action works great on older macOS in combination with Photoshop 2024 25.0. Seems to be a bug with the combination of Sonoma 14.0 MacOS & Photoshop 2024 25.0. Any solutions to this?

    Actions are not universal workflow. Try exporting the Action file & share it here for us & other experts to test it.

    MacOS Sonoma v14.1 & Photoshop 25.1 just got released. Check if the issue exists.
