Spontaneous Update from File loses changes since lst Save

Question

Latest PS (23.5.0), Mac OS 12.5.1, M1 Pro laptop.  I keep getting spontaneous Update from File occurrences that lose everything since my last Save.  Driving me crazy!!  How can I stop it?

I found the problem -- it's in Pref's > File Handling. The checkbox for Automatically Save Recovery Info was UN-checked but 10 min showed in the time box and was NOT grayed out -- it WAS grayed out when I reset the Pref's. And that's what it was doing -- History would show an "Update from file" at about every 10 min. And that LOST any changes I had made since the last save. Not sure if that should be the case -- that part sounds like it could be a bug??

I've gone back to my original Pref's and will watch to see if the problem is fixed. I copied the Sys Info and pasted in a reply but I don't see it here. Will try again if it's still not fixed.

Thanks Cory. I had the same problem in the earlier version. The latest update fixed some other bugs but not this behavior. Unchecking Use GPU makes no difference.
