Stamp visible not working on MBP M1

I bought a new MBP M1 a couple of days ago. There is this shortcut I use a lot (cmd + opt + shift + e) that combines all layers into a new layer without losing all the other layers, it's called "stamp visible". The thing is that this is not a normal shortcut but a special case of "merge visible", so here is the problem. If I go to "layers" and click "merge visible" while pressing "opt" it works and you see the action in the state panel. If I press cmd + shift + e it merges all layers into one but if I do it while pressing the opt key nothing happens. Please Help!!!
