The crop straigten tool isnt working. need help

Could be the image mode. If it is a scanned image, often in need of straightening and is a bitmap .tif you will need to change it to grayscale etc. before the straighten tool will become available.

What operating system and version of photoshop are you using?

Can you give us more details like some screenshots to show how the Crop Straighten Tool is not working?
