Strange Behavior With My Keyboard Shortcuts

I'm getting some stranger behaviors when I try to create or use my Photoshop Keyboard Shortcuts. First, some background. I changed my Create Cloud to a new account with a new email address.

Some of my custom keyboard shortcuts are still there after the account change. Some are not. But when I try to recreate my custom shortcuts, I'm told the combination of keys won't work. They worked on with my old account. Then when I try to use the default shortcut for Feather (Shift-F6), that doesn't work and I get a notice that Grow is not available. But there is no Grow keyboard shortcut. I'm sure this has to do with moving to a new account.

Perhaps one of you might be able to help me reset or clear some preference.  I'm using Photoshop 26.8.1. Oh, and this might be a source of the problem: when I changed Creative Cloud accounts, I didn't change my Creative Cloud applications. (I was wondering if Adobe changed them.)

Any help would be appreciated it.

Jeff

I contacted Adobe Support. And by installing an earlier version of Photoshop (v 25.12.4) my keyboard shortcuts are now working. So, it's a bug. The advisor noted this (after testing different versions, the bug started with v26.0).

I don't know if anyone else is having this problem. And the only thing I can't figure out is, before I changed accounts, my shortcuts were working on v 26.8.1. When I went over to my new account, suddently they weren't working on that same version. Weird.

You changed to a new User account on your Mac or changed to a new Adobe Creative Cloud Account?

The Photoshop preferences are located in

Macintosh HD/Users/UserName/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop 2025 Settings

If you saved any custom Keyboard Shortcuts, they are saved to

Macintosh HD/Users/UserName/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop 2025/Presets/Keyboard Shortcuts

This Adobe KB explains how to reset the Photoshop preferences:

Check your Actions panel for the Commands action set, which has alot of shortcuts that will supercede the default keyboard shortcuts.

I had set up my actions w shortcuts before going over to my new account. They still work in my new account. I had set up shortcuts for certain menu items, again, before going over to my new account. Had been using them for years. So, there were no conflicts beforehand and shouldn’t be conflicts after.

Yet, some of my menu shortcuts came over to my new account while others did not (strange). And when I try to reset them up, I’m told that the shortcut I’d always been using can’t be used and I can’t seem to overwrite them (I used to be able to do this when there was a conflict).

Some have shortcuts already as a default.  Like feather, which is listed as Shift-F6. But when I use that it tells me the Grow is unavailable! But there isn’t even a shortcut for Grow! And I never use Grow.

Is there some cache or preference I can reset in Photoshop? Might that be the problem?
