Strange Pen Pressure Troubles

As someone who uses Photoshop and Tablet Monitor Software/Hardware on a daily basis, I've very recently encountered an unexpected software problem that was prompted either by connection or coincidence by a Windows 10 update. After the update occurred I noticed, as has happened multiple times with past Windows 10 updates, that my tablet monitor wasn't functioning properly, which prompted me to do what I had always done previously which is to go to website of my tablet monitor's manufacturer, find the latest tablet driver, and then uninstall my current driver to replace it with the new one.

This procedure did indeed fix my tablet monitor's performance as expected, but what was unexpected was how it changed the performance of my copy of Photoshop CC, which had also been prompted by updating my version from Photoshop CC 2018 to Photoshop CC 2019. The program was functioning perfectly in all it's aspects except for one: pen pressure, which I found puzzling since the pen pressure function for the tablet itself seemed to work fine in both the tablet settings and in other software apps that I use besides Photoshop. After failing to fix the problem on my own I decided to consult the Adobe Photoshop Forums online in hopes that I would find a user submitted circumstance that was similar to mine that contained the solution to my predicament. Naturally, I did find such a forum thread that proposed that I submit a txt file titled PSUserConfig.text (containing the lines # Use WinTab UseSystemStylus 0) through the following file directory on my computer: C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2019\Adobe Photoshop CC 2019 Settings\ (note that this exact file directory does not exist on my computer, but I was able to find its equivalent by entering %appdata% into Win+R).

This solution did indeed return the pen pressure function to my copy of Photoshop CC but at the cost of offsetting the actual input of the brush far to the left of the screen and to my pen/brush cursor (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVRwihNtOF0). Having encountered this new problem with Photoshop CC I once again consulted the Adobe Forums in hopes of finding a solution, and after searching I found a forum thread that contained my exact predicament and proposed two solutions: that I alter the display settings on my tablet monitor (which I did at the setting of 100% and above to no avail, and altering the DPI settings of the app itself had no effect either), or that I install Lazy Nezumi Pro which was purported to contain a function that could fix the problem I am having with Photoshop. After installing the trial version of the program and fiddling around with it in Photoshop according to the pop-up messages that the Lazy Nezumi Pro window sent me I was unfortunately unable to fix the problem even after checking all the boxes in Edit Photoshop Options Window in the Settings menu. Enabling Pen Offset Fix in Tablet options had no effect and Enabling Tablet Mouse Mode merely offset the brush output to the right of the cursor (which would for some reason come closer tot he cursor the more it was moved to the right of the screen but would still be offset even at the edge).

I am now completely and utterly clueless as to how to resolve this issue, an issue that I still hope can be resolved for me because I would not want to give up using Photoshop if it is avoidable. I've tried reinstalling older versions of my tablet drivers and older versions of Photoshop to no avail, the GPU mode of my computer is already set to Basic (and I have Photoshop set to GPU mode because I can't check the "Use Graphics Processor" box for some unknown reason), getting rid of the PSUserConfig.txt file didn't help either, and I'm fairly certain that my tablet driver uses Windows Ink (or at least I'm sure it did before the recent Windows update). If anyone can offer me anything at all that can get my pen pressure sensitivy for Photoshop back, then I would be immensely apprieciative.

I do not have the answer for your problem.   But I can shed some light your way.

Years ago Microsoft Windows OS did have Microsoft code to support pens.  Wacon Added device drivers to support their pens.  And Adobe added support to Photoshop to support Wacom Pens.  Support was implemented using a system interface APIs the interface name  WinTab.

In recent Windows version  Microsoft added it own APIs for pen support Windows INK interface.     So things have become complicated when it comes to Pen support.  For there are two interfaces that can be used.    New application versions use Windows INK APIs for Pen support that includes Photoshop CC.   However, old perpetual Photoshop version use  WinTab API for Pen support.  This complicates things. For the Pen device Driver and Application must use the same API for pen support to work.   Wacom Device drivers can be configured to use Windows INK API  for Pen support but for particular Applications like Photoshop to use WinTab APIs.   However, new Photoshop CC versions default to use Windows INK.   To solve this problem Adobe left the WinTab interface in Photshop but does not use it by default.  A user must configure Each Photoshop CC Version they use to use WinTab API by adding that PSUserConfig.txt to their user ID Photoshop Preferences  folders. There is one for each version of.  There is no need to add that file to old CS version of Photoshop.  They only have WinTab support.  The folders:

"C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC [Version]\Adobe Photoshop CC [Version] Settings\" are on your system but will be by default hidden in windows File explored.  You need change your view setting to see them in File explorer. Folders and files in Users are hidden by default. Even If you change your view option you will only be able to see your UserID folders and files in users.

Display on devices like Microsoft Surfaces Pro that support pens may has programs to calibrate pen cursor tracking like surface machines do.  I have seen other that use Huion Display tablets have offset problems like you are having. Search the forum to see If they found solutions.

Since you have added the PSUserConfig.txt file to use wintab APIs and your pen works you device driver is using Wintab APIs.  You can also have CC 2019 revert to Photoshop old transform behavior by add a second option in that txt file.

Thank you for the reply. I tried everything you suggested in the message and in the images but I encountered the same problem of the brush output being offset from the pen/cursor. I tried rewording the new PSUserConfig file by replacing "Wacom Tablet" with "Yiynova Tablet", "YIYNOVA TABLET", and just "Tablet" but that had no effect either. Are there any other rewordings of the PSUserConfig file that I should know about that could help me? Is there something else I should reword or tweek in the file that should be tweeked? The problem seems to be not recognizing INK as evident by the return of pen pressure after installing the txt file but orienting the brush output to the pen/cursor but as to how that can be achieved is a mystery to me...

The "# followed by text" lines are just comment lines they do nothing"   Some Display scaling,  cursor size scaling  or device driver  software is likely causing your offset problem.  Have you added anything to you Windows OS version. Is the any YIYNOVA TABLET cursor tracking calibration software

    Looj through these threads
