I decided to summarise the current state of my copy of Photoshop.
MISSING ICONS
When I click on a .PSD file, photoshop opens with missing icons at the left side of the screen.
See the Missing Icons screenshot.
I first reported this on June 26th 2023 on Photoshop version 24.6
GENERATIVE FILL TUTORIAL AT STARTUP
If I run Photoshop without clicking on a .PSD file, Photoshop opens with all icons but is running the unwanted Generative Fill tutorial.
See the Generative Fill Tutorial screenshot
For a while this gave me a way of working: run Photoshop and then delete the tutorial.
FONT FAILURE
In the last few days, the attempt to run Photoshop followed by deleting the tutorial has failed. When editing text, and attempting to change font I get the following message:
Could not complete your request because
LoadDeepFont Cache in GetDeepFontCache failed.
See the Font Selection Error screenshot.
REINSTALL
As an experiment today, I uninstalled Photoshop. I then rebooted the computer and reinstalled a fresh copy of Photoshop. All the errors remain.
LOGCOLLECTOR
I have run the Log Collector today (March 25th). The file has been uploaded to Adobe. The file name is:
AdobeLogs_20240325_024335_961-win-GS.zxp
I cannot upload this file to the Adobe Community forum as the extension is not permitted.
CONCLUSION
At present I do not have a working version of Photoshop.
