Surface pen dot issues?

I feel like an idiot plugging a wacom tablet into a Surface, but Photoshop is the only drawing app that I have an issue with. AFTER I complete a stroke, it will randomly add a full pressure dot to the beginning of it.  This happens randomly and sometimes won't happen for 20+ minutes and then nearly constantly. Is there a known fix for this?

Attached a picture to show the issue. Does not happen with the Wacom tablet.
