Text appears blurry when I add a PS image to MS word

Hello

I am fairly proficient in photoshop but it has been a while since Ive used it on a daily basis

I am opening some tiff images, then I am editing some features. When I add text features, the image looks fine in photoshop. If i just open the image in a regular image viewer the text appears fine, but when I import the image into a MS word document, all of the text features appear blurry. I have tried sharpening and using some of those PS built in filters but nothing has worked

I am sure this question has been asked before, but I am not able to find a solution.  I thought I read somewhere that I am supposed to vectorize the text layers?

Is there an easy solution for this? I assume I could add the text after in powerpoint of some other software but photoshop should be able to handle this.

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

thanks

Text layer are vector layers in Photoshop. However your most like most likely importing an  image in word.  Even if you import a layered Tiff into Word.  Word would import it as a raster image not as layered document,   Word  as far as I know does not support layers.  Therefore   the size and resolution you create your Photoshop document is every important,  You should  create it print size like 8.5" x 11" at 300DPI.     Word should be able to scale it down and  text should be readable if nor scale down too small.
