Text Layer does not show in layer panel

I use the latest PS 21.1.0. When I enter text the text layer does not show in the layers panel. Obviously the layer is there but it does not show in the panel. I know it must be something silly but cannot figure out what. I include a screenshot hoping that will assist.

Hi!

Thanks for posting the screen shot. I was wondering if you have hit the Check mark in the Options bar to commit the type?

Thank you. I tried that but no cigar. Restarted PS and there, everything was back to normal. Not sure why that happened but happy it now works.
