Text Layer in Photoshop

Question

Having an issue with text layers in Photoshop CC, I am attempting to put text into a poster but the text I want has dissappeared and instead it is repeating a single word over and over and this seams to just from what layer it applies to, I tried CTRL + T to see if the text I want is still there and it is but I just cant see it because this seems to hide it. Never had this issue before.

Is your text Area type or Point type? Can you share another screenshot that includes:

Layer panel
Character panel (Window menu)
Some of the text selected with the Type tool

It could be several things, including leading, a frame that is too small. We can't tell by just seeing the image without the panels.
