My text tool is not working properly. Everytime I create a line to text, the letters are spaced out too far and when I correct the spacing number. Nothing happens. HELP!

Could you please post a screenshot taken at View > 100% with the pertinent Panels (Layers, Character, Paragraph, Options Bar, …) visible?

It started after the last update. But I thought It would be fixed by then
