Text Type in Photoshop gets inactive when alternate to other aplications or programs

I am wrting text in photoshop, copy and pasting, but when i alternate between photoshop and word, the text layer becames inactive, and i have to click always in the layer to make it active again.

How do i solve this?
This means, how to make the text layer active to paste the text without clicking the text layer?

    Have you considered updating Photoshop 2017 to a more compatible with macOS Sonoma version of Photoshop like the latest Photoshop 2024?

    I am in a iMac Pro 3,2 Ghz Intel Xeon X 8 - Mac OS Sonoma ver. 14.1.1
    Photoshop CC 2017 1.1

    You can update Sonoma to 14.2.1 and Photoshop to PS 2024. See if that helps.

    If you have the Type Tool selected in the tools panel, then when you come back to photoshop from word press Cmd+Return/Enter and that should make the text layer active.

    thanks for your reply but is the same... after Cmd+Enter nothing happens... the text layer stays inactive, i have to go with the mouse and click on it
