Text wrap - on/off?

When using the Text tool, if I click somewhere in the canvas, it doesn't wrap the text.

If I click and drag, it creates a box and it wraps.

Is it possible to change its behavior once I started typing?

If I have a box, but then I decide to "unwrap", can I do it? Or vice versa?

Without copying and pasting the text into a new text layer, of course 😉

Thanks

Thanks for your reply. I didn't really know the right terms. Glad I do now.

Ok so that's what I wanted to achieve, but I noticed one "bug". When I converted a paragraph text to point text, the text didn't actually go to a single line. For example if you are working with a spreadsheet and you have text in a cell, turning the wrap on and off, will either make the text adjust the cell's height or just stay on a single line.

Photoshop doesn't do that...

But anyway, your reply really brought some more insight on how it works. Really appreciate it 🙂
