        Illustrator's pattern maker would be much better to use.

          What's a textile designing tool? What programs exist that are specifically for designing textiles, and what functions do they have that Photoshop doesn't?  I am not being facetious here.  My point is that if I wanted to design textiles I'd be OK to go using Photoshop and Illustrator.   

           

          Would Photoshop's brush symmetry be useful?  There might be plugins and extensions that might help as well.  Let us know what functions would be useful, and we might surprise you.

            Are you sure some other Adobe application may not be a better fit for your needs?
