The brush and eraser tool drag the canvas when I zoom in

I updated photoshop to 21.1.3 this morning and it has been acting up ever since. When I zoom in to draw instead of the brush tool putting down a line it drags the canvas around. It also does the same with the eraser tool. I uninstalled and reinstalled photoshop thinking that it would help but it's still the same. I'm in the middle of commissions and it is really holding me up. I would really appreciate the help.
