The eyedropper tool does not work in Photoshop. I've been trying for a few weeks and it does not work what do I do? I'm paying money for it and have not fixed the tool in a long time.

Can you post screenshot with Layers panel visible and Eyedrpper tool active?

Also include the Options Bar, so we can see the Exedropper Tool’s settings (»Sample« in particular).

@Elior_t

You might start with resetting the Eyedropper tool. Right-click the tool in the options bar (not Tools panel) and choose Reset Tool. Also check your Layers panel to confirm you are on the correct layer. If these don't work, reset Preferences after backing up customization.

Can you tell us what happens when you try to use it? "Not working" can mean several things.

Try resetting the tools and/or preferences.
To restore preferences quickly using a keyboard shortcut:

Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) as you start Photoshop. You are prompted to delete the current settings. The new preferences files are created the next time you start Photoshop.
Note: Using the keyboard shortcut, preference files for custom shortcuts, workspaces, and color settings will also be reset to default.
