The meteor disappears when I applied "lighten" on th layer

I created a mask to get the meteor, but when I applied the "lighten" on the mask, the meteor just disappeared. However, I did this successfully on the other layers , but failed on some layers with the same way, how do I solve this problem? Thank you!

The only reason I could think the meteors would not show is lighten is a subtractive blend mode based on the two visible layers - if the meteor is not that "bright" or the layer below has a similar gray/brightness level then it may not show or be very light and not as obvious as the ones overlaying in the darker parts of the sky.

@Xiaofeng274168944tlm can you show some screenshots of the issue including your layers panel expanded?

Thank you very much, please check the two screenshots. I can get all the other meteors when applying the lighten mode on the layers, but failed on several layers, don't know the reason. The meteor just disappeared instead of showing up on the screen.

The black bars are the layers that have this problem before I apply "lighten". The mentors are inside the black bars.

I am totally a beginner of PS.
