The path cannot be transformed because the selected part of the path does not contain any pixels

When I paste an object from Illustrator into Photoshop, I select it and I would like to use the free transformation but I get this error: The path cannot be transformed because the selected part of the path does not contain any pixels. How can I solve it? I think it's a bug...
