I tried to share a psd file through Extract but Extract won't render the psd and an error appears like in the screenshot below:

I'm "the dev who works on the rendering code" in this case :-).  We had a bug where under certain circumstances artboards that contained layers masked by other layers could cause a failure. The fix for that is scheduled to go live public-facing early next week (Tuesday, to be specific).

If you know off the top of your head that your PSDs fit that description, it's very very likely they will magically start working then. If you'd like me to verify that that's the case for a representative file fell free to share it in ccweb and PM me the link (or post it here if you don't mind the wider visibility).

I'm sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. This one should not have made it past our quality processes and we've improved them to help guard against something similar happening again.

I see this is from 2015 I'm running into this issue now. Is it still the layermasks that cause this? Thanks!

I'm not sure if my files match your description, but I can all open in Extract now. Here is a sample file that caused problems in the past: http://adobe.ly/1Vhn5bj

Thanks for trying that, we have another user reporting this but can't repro it ourselves. Can you send the PSD directly to me through at mrausch ( a t ) adobe.com?

Thanks,

Mark
