Gradient map / adjustment layers on all files suddenly don't work...?

I now need to re-create them all, using approximations...

I just installed the previous version of Photoshop Beta and that fixed the problem

Yes, Photoshop (Beta) version 24.6 is the culprit. So don't create gradient adjustment layers in that version as they won't migrate to other versions...!

I just installed the previous version of Photoshop Beta and that fixed the problem

Yes same thing happened to me Gradient Map layer is there but it's just a normal layer now with the mask that was attached to the gradient map. The only option was to open flattened or layered.

What I believe the issue is, is that Gradient Maps information isn't saved with the Document. Even if you re-install the gradient maps, Photoshop won't know to reference the gradient map.

Yes, this is a huge issue for me as well. Cannot work on important files.
