Three icons of Photoshop and thee of Bridge

Hello, how come I have three ions of Photoshop: "Photoshop 2019", "Photoshop 2020" and now I have a third "Photoshop 2021" - same thing with Bridge... I also would like to know if there is any reason as to why I would keep them all ? My concern is that I have two of the same program installed three times on my MacBook, and that it would take up 2x three times space...

By the way, are the "older" Photoshop program I can legally keep free (for my use only of course) and use if I stop my subscription ?

Hi

You have three icons because you have three versions installed. I have more. You can uninstall from the CC app, but you can only reinstall the current version plus one previous. 

 

No, you cannot use old versions when you stop your subscription. They become deactivated and will not open.

I have more versions installed then tthen you have  each version has their own launching icon shortcut.  There are compability issues and as well as changed and removed features.

    Thank you for your reply Jane. The only reason I can come up with as to why I should keep an older version of Photoshop and Bridge, is if a certain tool gets deleted or changed... I have now uninstalled two of the oldest version.

    Most of us keep an old version in place on an upgrade just to make sure everything works. That way if we encounter any problems with the new version it is a simple matter to open the old.
