Question

To get an idea about colour mixing

Hi Everyone,

I am a student who is doing a study about natural colourants. I have different red, blue, turmeric colours. I have measured their colourimetric value (Labch) and wanted to get targeted Labch colour coordinates by mixing these three different colourants. Does anyone have any idea how to do that?

Highly appreciate it if you could help me!

Many thanks,

Pra

If you're talking about pigments, that's not possible. Physical pigments don't behave in an "ideal" way like in a synthetic color space. But since you're measuring, you can measure a few mixes and interpolate.
