Tool shortcuts bugged

My tool shortcuts is bugged and i cant seem to find out why or how to fix it. What happens is that some buttons cycle between different tools that has never been assigned to that button in the first place. I have made a small video to illustrate this.

The funny thing is that the bug stops when i activate CAPS LOCK. But its not an optimal solution to keep yelling in all my designs, i guess

I am running Mac OSX Sierra on a Macboo Pro and the latest version of Photoshop CC 2017.

OK, I just tried to reinstall Photoshop again and this time it worked. So it seems my installation was somehow bugged. Thanks for all the suggestions

Are you using a Wacom tablet?

Menus, shortcuts, Lasso tool, or Photoshop stop working when using a Wacom tablet | Mac OS

If that does not fit or work, try these one at a time:

Click on Edit Toolbar (three dots at bottom of the Toolbar) and click on Restore Defaults

Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts and select Photoshop Defaults

Then try resetting all tools at left end of Toolbar (a low probability of fixing it)

Ultimately try Resetting Preferences.

Good luck

I have tried both to no avail

I tried removing a bunch of tools and now this happens. The wrong tool it cycles too is placed on the three dots settings icon and changes look based on the wrong tool it is showing. So weird!

Hi ,

The cycling of tools in a tool position is usually done with the shift key. So for example pressing Shift G will cycle the tools in the Gradient slot.

If you are certain that the Shift key is not stuck then try resetting the toolbar
