Touchscreen compatability

i have a touchscreen laptop and when i try to use my finger to draw nothing happens, does anyone know how to change the setting for this to work?

Photoshop CC2014 and above support Touch Gestures

But it does not support finger painting on a Touchscreen, you need a drawing tablet and pen like a Wacom

Yes, others have said this same thing in other threads... "it does not support finger painting on a Touchscreen"

What no one has stated in any of the threads, as far as I can tell, is (1) WHY this hasn't been fixed yet and (2) WHEN they will finally incorporate so basic and simple a feature
