Transform bar has disappeared!

Hello, I'm on a Mac using Photoshop CS2. Normally when I want to transform a selection to resize it, I go to the Edit menu, then select Transform > Scale, and then a bar appears where I can type in the percentage I want to shrink my selection to. But now, for some reason, when I go to Edit >Transform >Scale, this bar does not appear any more. How can I get it back again?  I'm working from home and using Photoshop for my artwork so I'm hoping I can resolve this problem as soon as possible. Thank you!

Not sure what exactly you mean, you seem to describe transforming Layers/Groups/a Layer/the selected part of Layer and not a Selection (that would rather involve Select > Transform Selection).

Could you post a screenshot?

Is Window > Options checked?

Thank you so much for the speedy reply!! You were right- I went to the Window Menu and Options was not ticked (or checked in US English) so I ticked/checked it and the bar is back! Thanks again!
