Transform box not showing in Photoshop 22.4.2

After updating Photoshop to 22.4.2 the transform box does not appear immediatly when I use the transform tool. I have to click on the object for it to appear. Also when the object is bigger then the canvas, the transform box is only visible on the canvas and not the space around the canvas. Is this an updated feature or some bug?

There is no »Transform Tool« in Photoshop.

Does turning off »Use Graphics Processor« in the Performance Preferences (Photoshop > Preferences > Performance > Graphic Processor Settings) and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?

Does turning on »Deactivate Native Canvas« (Photoshop > Preferences > Technology Previews) and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?

Could you please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) visible?

Thanks!

Turning on "Deactivate Native Canvas" fixed the issue.
