Transform Origin STILL only working with keyboard input??

Haven't needed to transform about a specific origin point in a while, but now that I do, I see that Photoshop no longer transforma about the orgin point if you move it. I'm on 2020 and found a post that says if you move your origin and then key in the values in the toolbar value fields (W, H, %  or Rotation angle) or use your arrow keys to move the values up and down, then the transform tool acknowledges the new origin point.

Am I missing something obvious??

You need to hold the ALT/OPTION key (Windows/Mac) while you drag the corners for the transform to use the origin point.

Hello, by default, Ps 2020 does not show the reference point, but you can show it, and should be able to place it elsewhere and then transform the image. Are you on Ps 21.1.2?

Did you try resetting the move tool in the option bar?

How exactly are you proceeding? a video would help tremendously.

Here's a video of what I'm referring to.

PS version 21.1.1 (maybe they fixed it in that . update - EDIT: nope, 21.1.2 still uses the same behavior as the video)
