transform -> rotate leaving a thin white line around my image after rotation

so after i selected transform -> rotate and this box with an x through it appears around my pepper - i rotated it hit enter and now i have a hair thin white outline of the box around my rotated pepper.  ??????  why? what? how do i get rid of it?

    You've got a mask with a box around the pepper. Completely fill the mask with black, except for where the pepper is, as you're getting anti-aliasing from the box being rotated and messing up your mask.

    Try also adding some gausian blur at the edges.

    Just paint in the the white area with a brush with black, or make a loose selection around the pepper, invert the selection (ctrl-shift-i) and fill with black.

    its most visible right along the darker green bed skirt upper left (the peppers upper left) and the middle right along the dark green bed skirt.  but once you see it - you can also see it running along the carpet as well.

    You've got a mask with a box around the pepper. Completely fill the mask with black, except for where the pepper is, as you're getting anti-aliasing from the box being rotated and messing up your mask.
