Transforming a scanned image into a raw image

Hello,

I am working whit scanned images and a want to retouching them in Camera Raw.

Is it possible to save an .bmp file into a .raw file ?

Or, does accept Camera Raw other file formats, other then .raw ?

You can use Camera Raw as filter on the image layer. RAW data come from a Camera sensor not a scanner. RAW DATA is not an RGB Image. ACR can Also process jpeg and tif file but there is not raw data involved. If you make you BMP Layer a smart object layer the use ACR as a smart filter It would be like opening a Jpeg or Tif in ACR I would think.
