Transforming issue: working area to narrow around an object

The area needed to perform a transformation has become too small around an object. Everytime I want to rotate an object I have to watch out to not cancel the transformation, because I click outside the canvas area. This is very annoying during the design process. Can you please go back to the previous settings before the update?

      Try holding down the shift key.  I heave of course reverted to Photosho's historic transform behavior.   But Shift also seem to effect the now commit behavior.  Whit Shift held down I can be any distance outside the Transform bounding box and rotate even out side the canvas area as long as I'm within the Image window.  I edit in floating windows not tabs.   Photoshop may work the same way when you edit images in tabs.
