Question

Transparency

Hello, I really hope someone can solve this issue.  I bought a picture from freepik that I wanted to us on a T-shirt.  I needed to delete the background, which I was able to remove the first background but then the white behind it was still there.  I have tried all possible ways, ie, masking, trace, etc. It seems like it has removed it with masking but when I save it, it doesn't save with the transparency.  yes, I have used all the recommended file types.  Anyone have any other ideas?

Is this a shirt for personal use, or resale?
You should be aware that if it is for re-sale, that would be in violation of the FreePik image license.
"Does not use the content in the Freepik Content in printed or electronic items (e.g. t-shirts, cups, postcards, birthday or greeting cards, invitations, calendars, web models or electronic devices, apps, videogames, advertising spots, audiovisual animations) aimed to be resold, in which the content in the Freepik Content is the main element (because of size, relevance or any other cause, in case of doubt about whether the content is main element, it shall be deemed that the content is main element)"

Yes I did buy the license to use it and Yes you are right, but its not the main element, there's quite a bit more to the design. I had wanted to get it transparent before adding the additional elements of the design.

07 FINGER-150ppp.jpg .   This is the original picture.  I got it to the white background.  And I did save it as PNG, and JPG, and TIFF.  Still when I upload onto a T-shirt it comes with the white background, I want it transparent so that the design is over the color of the T-shirt.  But in the interim, I did figure it out.! Thanks!

Photoshop Format (.psd) allows transparency, see attached.

I am not sure what is your problem exactly. On second photo which you have uploaded there is some problem it seems but that is not white background as you are stating above. You have white background because JPG file forat does not allow you to save with trasparency. Second: when viewing somewhere image it may not show transparency but instead it may show white background because that is how that application is handling transparency. If you save PNG with transparency then you have transparent areas but not and guaranty that you will see in any application out there checkerboard or indicator that transparent area is surrounding your subject.
