Transparency help (iPad)

Ok I'm new to Photoshop for ipad. And im usually working with Procreate.

I am trying to create a clothing mockup and can not figure out how the creator of this mockup created this shadow layer with transparent background.

The settings of the layer are set to "normal" 100% for blend mode, in the mock-up I am trying to recreate.

If I set it to multiply I can not achieve this look. I'm so lost.

also someone help me, how do I download this layer so it stays semi transparent, like in the one picture shown?

Most likely you'll need to use the desktop version of Photoshop for something like that:

The guy probably selected the midtone range of the cloth and placed on a separate layer with grey adjustment

But they are other more efficent ways to apply a design on a peice of apparel. specially using the apply image feature

I did a youtube video about that here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubTcqJ0-cf8
