transparent photos with a background

Question

Hello. I'm just learning how to use Photoshop.

For some reason whenever I inport transparent PNG photos into my artboard they show up with a background. I just took the time to cut out my image again make sure I saved it as a PNG with transparency selected although it still has a background when I import it.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Could you please post• a screenshot of the image with the pertinent Panels (Layers, Channels, Options Bar, …) visible• one of the Save for Web settings you use• and the resulting png?
