Trouble Saving

I have a logo on layer 1 and I have the opacity and fill set at 75% so it is a little washed out. On layer 2 I have text that goes over layer 1. Everything looks fine on the screen but when I save it the logo is at 100%. I have tried saving as a .png, .gif and .jpg with the same result. I'm sure it is operator error I just can't figure out how to get the logo to stay washed out in the final product.

Purely for testing purposes could you try the following.

Choose the layers, and in the Layers pull down menu choose Merge Visible Layers. See if it retains the opacity of the washed out icon of the tree. If it does, great, then save it as a PNG and see if that displays correctly in your final application. If not, we have a unique problem.

I appreciate everyone's suggestions. Mark, that didn't work.

I opened just the tree graphic, reduced the opacity, exported to .png with transparency, placed the image in a word document and it is 100%. I open the file in PS and it is 75% opacity.

    This shouldn't be this difficult.

Can you show us your Layers panel please?

I think there's more here than you're telling us.

Does the logo has a layer style applied to it?

if Not, Don’t use Fill , use only opacity

No layer style applied. I tried adjusting just the opacity and got the same result.

    Hi

Can you show a screenshot - including your layers panel - and with the image at 100% zoom.
