Trouble with grouped objects

I have been following one of the beginners video tutorials and one of the last things to do was group several objects from different layers and move them. I followed everything properly and created the group of objects but they wouldn't move together as supposed to. Any idea why? I have gone back and followed along again making sure I had the correct settings, but they would still move independently and not as a group.

As pointed out by c.pfaffenbichler - without further information or screenshots - we are very much guessing in the dark.

However one quick thing that's always worth checking is that your Move tool (V) Is set to move groups rather than individual layers.

I have attached a quick screenshot to give you an idea of where to find and check this:

P.s. You must have the Move tool (v) selected to check this option.

Best wishes,

Unlinked Layer Masks, Locked Layers, … based on the information you provided one can not really know, I guess.

Could you please post a screenshot taken at View > 100% and with the pertinent Panels (Layers, Channels, Options Bar, …) visible?
